I haven't found it too difficult - and I'm not very technical. It's all a bit methodical really, as long as you take everything to bits methodically and don't have any components left over when you have finished. And try not to drop the little pawl springs overboard.

Clean all the components up with paraffin, dry them and then lightly grease. I put 3-in-1 oil on the pawls.

Before I did my first, though, I got a quick tutorial from the man on the Lewmar stand at the boat show (I know that the timing is rotten for this, but it is also pretty well illustrated in the lewmar service manual that I'm sure that Lewmar will send you).
