Separ KWA 50 Cleaning

Any advice on cleaning the bowls in these units?

Pretty easy to do but make sure you have a new set of o-rings. I did mine very recently with some paraffin. I found details on the Separ website about what torque for the bolts that hold the bowl on. Separ will supply spares direct IIRC

I have just done mine
Turn off fuel supply and drain the unit. Undo top and remove filter then remove the 4 Allen screws and remove bowl. The blue spinner is hand tightened and can be removed for cleaning. Clean the bowl out. Reassemble unit using the original large O ring which seals the bowl. Replace filter and refill unit with clean fuel. Replace the large O ring with the one supplied with the filter. I always replace with Racor filters as they are cheaper but the small O ring seems undersized so you may need to reuse the old one. The only time I had a leak was when I used the Racor small ring.
Check for leaks when engine started.
