ah yes, the forumis secret at the moment mid-march cos otherwise we (or probly stingo's gurlfriend) will aha let on that the boat is miles away and we're not on it.

So only *some* forumites can see at the moment. No problem inviting others, let me know. Just not people called carib-boat-rustler, and not unregistered users ....

.... until we get to the boat!

Then it will be open forum! So then best be jolly nice about others or they'll see the nasty backstabbing. Oh dear.

Ang on, where did this forum pop up from and whats it all about.

I went to St Martins once, in the dinghy, though was aiming for Tresco at the time.

So are we all going again or what??

Oh dear it looks that this forum will become required reading for the next couple of months every couple of hours.

I hope everything goes really well to you all --- what a fantastic adventure!

TCM - where are you? Did the certificate arrive? If not I found my original ( albeit photocopy ) and not certified.

Ooh you mean it could be like Big Brother and every week we could have an eviction...?

Yeah live evictions, in the middle of the Atlantic, now that would be fun to watch!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Can't be much of a secret if I can see it /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Congratulations on what sounds to be a pleasingly ill conceived and spur of the moment purchase. How are you going to explain this to victoraspey when you've spent years rubbishing cats? Still, she looks like a very nice boat in which to drift aimlessly around the Atlantic for several months
Have you got a planned route? Where are you going to park it? UK? Med?
Best of luck. I hope it works out

i was gonna sort of vaguely park it about rather than nail it in one place i think for the time being. I had a great year when we movd D2 around 2months here, a month there etc. The idea of summink that will cover distances is that it should be possible to follow sun for year-round sunny boating. The idea of the cat is that it is rock solid at anchor - or anyway none of the sometimes lurchy resonant rolling, and a fairly quick (ish) sail. The idea of the sail is decent cheap range and plentiful crew. The idea of the twin diesels is well, obviously the sails won't be fast enough on their own...
