I would rather have a full chart plotter with AIS input from an AIS Engine or combined VHF/AIS set.
Physically this unit is remarkably similar to the now obsolete but otherwise excellent Northstar plotters e.g. 557

I know this is an old thread but I have seen this unit in the SVB catalogue, and found the English instructions here https://www.svb-marine.fr/media/119130/pdf/manual_en_2013-01-23.pdf
For the price it looks a good unit with a better display than the Nasa unit. Its a pity they don't have this unit with an AIS transponder instead of just a receiver.
