Sealine Mastic

Does anyone know the name of the white mastic that was used to stick the fuel tanks together? I had to use a crowbar to prize them apart. Would like to use some more of the same. Dave

Are Sealine tanks just stuck together with mastic? I've never been a fan of 'off the peg' boats but surely even a production line builder can't be that bad! Are you sure about this?

Two tanks ... joined together with mastic to stop them moving around?

The white mastic was used to locate thr tanks with hard foam strips. Where it had got on the tanks it was secure as welds. Dave

I don't know the exact brand used but i'd guess it is a polyurethane. Sika 291 or 3M 3200 would be suitable if you need a normal strength (strong) polyu bond. If you want "welded strength" then use 292 or 5200, but beware the strength of these!
