Hi i have just bought a Sealine 365, do any of you own one or have owned one, i would like to here from you about all the good things and the bad...what sort of top speed fuel con etc i will be spending a lot of time around 4 weeks at a time on the boat the boat is in Spain, thanks

In Spain a ......thats strange we have one for sale based in our Marina Costa del Sol. where are you? the one we have has twin 200hp volvos I believe, not the fastest in the world probably cruise about 21 top speed 25 knts.

But thats not what they are about, where they score is massive accomodation and cockpit. Length overall I believe is about 39ft too. enjoy

I've got the S37 (same boat) in Spain and I guess you probably have the KAD42's. I can only comment on my KAD43's which delivers 230 hp each. We get a top speed of 32-34 knots (clean bottom) with a consumption of 2mpg
Excellent boats no particular problems. Very long and successful production run with these models.
Keep the bottom very clean and you should enjoy 25knots ++

the 365 is not the 360 Ambassador so it might be different to the S37
to my knowledge the 365 was with with the 3 iece radar arch, one with the middle peace starting from the windscreen, it was different at the time and was Sealine biggest boat we are speaking end of 80s begining 90s most, its hull was used I think for the cavernous 380/400 Ambassador models

Next door neighbour (in the marina) has one great boat. Most fitted with AD41s i beleive so marginal on power. He knows his boat inside out so any questions pm me and ill ask his advice.
Cheers

The 360 Ambassador was a short 450 Statesman !!! and yes the 365 became the 380/400.

There was talk right at the start of two clear infill panels for the 'T' arch, which would have covered in the for part of the cockpit, and put it years ahead of the current boats.

Any switchgear / charging help or problems drop us a line.

Decidedly marginal on power with the normal two AD41s. Because this was as high as they could go with two outdrive engines at the time, the aft hull vee is very shallow to help it get on the plane. However, this had the effect of making it slide out if you attempted a sharp turn.

A few were made with three AD41s, which made it go rather better. However, the centre engine had to be taken out to get the outer ones out. The centre leg was also a different length to the outer ones.

Seriously considered buying one of these, looked at several and trialled two. the first had been re-engined with kad44's and went like a dream. Would have bought it but someone beat me to it as we weren't quite ready to make an offer. The other had AD41's, which as others have said were the standard, and it struggled to get 20 knots wot - that was enough to make me look elsewhere.

That said theye are a lot of boat for the money, very spacious and a great family boat.

Like many others I find the Sealine numbers quite confusing. Who would have thought that the 365 is a metre longer than the S37 and the S38

Dates from when the boat size moved from a engineering measurement, to a marketing one. So bathing plateforms, beeks etc were added, then rounded up to the next size up.
The 365 had a lot of firsts, in that it was the first (raised) sports deck cruiser, and the first to have the cockpit moulded so that it formed the headroom in the aft.

A friend had one for years - fitted with AD41's. The 365 is huge inside, with two heads if I remember, and a massive cockpit. They used to cruise in company with us sometimes, and it had no problem cruising around 21/22 knots.

All the points I made above confirmed thanks.

I worked in the factory when this boat was king i built the soild! oak! galleys in them. I have all ways loved these boats with a passion i when about buying one two years ago but instead bought new s42 (quite a diffrence) these boats are almost identical inside and on top. given choice again would buy 365 and bang new engines in it

Have owned a 365 for a number of years, ran her on Windermere and then moved her to Fleetwood prior to retiring her to the sun in Spain. Never really checked overall consumption but guestimate would be IRO 1 to 1.5mpg. Performance will be different to your boat as I have one of the triple engined boats. Best boat I have owned and could not find an equivalent that came anywhere near the accomodation or facilities. Sure you will enjoy your boat but good maintenance of outdrives is obviously essential.

365 is much bigger than an F37. Was available with triple engines. There is one in the Beulieu river re engined with D6s I think must be a lovely boat. (just realised this is a very old thread!)
