Been pleased with mine. I knew it was a cheap dinghy when I bought it but had no problems over 6 years and I would say it has exceeded my expectations. Its more comfortable than my old Avon ever was and even survived a week drifting at sea on its own without any damage.

I bought a second hand Avon Rover 2.50 with an inflatable floor off eBay about 5 years ago, it cost me the same as a new cheapo at the time.

The Avon uses proper oars and has been hung on my davits every year from April to Oct, then quickly washed off and stored deflated in a garage.

It's still like new and every time I use it, it gives me pleasure.

My recommendation is to get one off eBay quick, they're not made anymore and good examples will be getting rarer......

Mine is now nine years old and has been well abused and hammered.Its still going strong with no problems all be it a bit heavy.
It spends the summer afloat or in a dingy pound and the winters in my garage.

Had same problems with similar aged boat. Several things just peeled away and the bow fitting came away as only thin vinyl holding it on. Final straw was a catostrophic leak deep in the stern corner which suggested the glue had broken down between the tube and stern board. We were on passage and needed a dinghy so had to dump it and buy a replacement. It seems the glue they use is not fit for purpose. Did you contact Seago and what was the response?
