Seacocks - replace one or all?

Hi - lucky me - discovered three days before lift out that one of my seacocks is jammed shut. Checked from outside.

I haven’t changed them in 10 years - suspect they were done in previous owner’s mini refit in 2009.

Do I replace just the jammed one or get all of them done in one go? I have 8 in all.
How much would you expect a yard to charge? And does one normally supply the seacock?

If you are confident in the others, keep them. If the failure of one gives you heebie-jeebies about the rest....you know what to do. If they are made of brass, or even if you have doubts about the materials, I would be changing them.

On the Hamble in 2019 I was quoted something like £2300 including materials for twelve Trudesign skin fittings, ball valves and hose tails.

So I did it myself. It wasn't very difficult but took me nudging four days including removing the old (learning how to use an angle grinder on some scrap), glassing in backing plates to thicken the hull as required in a couple of positions, tidying up the holes and fitting the new.

The Trudesign fittings cost about £700 from Leesan (who were terrifically helpful), if I remember right. The yard quote whacked on their own margin on the fittings.

i guess the yard would have done it in under three days given greater skills and experience.

Change of underwear required when she splashes. As the yard were keen to advise me, if she leaked it would be advantageous for them to cover the haulout and repair rather than me!! You pays yer money etc.

Inspection it is! Hadn’t planned on multiple boat units. I am hopeful it’s just the valve not the through hull
