Hi

I now have a spinning gate valve which services the sink in the galley.

I've looked at it this afternoon whilst out on the water and as rough guess on measure, outside diameter looks as if it may be 1". I'm therefore wondering if the I.D for replacement is likely to be 3/4?

It's an old gate valve type and having read through other posts on here some suggest the normal is 3/4. Obviously I need to be sure before ordering a suitable replacement.

As for the hose connector I guess I could remove the existing hose to check the I.D, when the tide is out! Any guidance appreciated. Thanks.

Looks like 3/4" BSP. Pretty standard for sink drains. You can check with the bore diameter of the hose. Replace the skin fitting as well which means out of water. Make sure you get DZR both skin fitting or valve or change to composite Tru Design which are same bore and skin fitting sizes but a bit bulkier. However you have plenty of room there.
