Can you be a bit more specific as to where you are looking. West Country might be construed as anywhere West of Portland Bill and there are scrubbing piles or hard standing in almost every harbour I know West of Portland.
I once scrubbed and antifouled leaning against the wall in Polperro...
All over the shop but mainly alongside walls which are a pain. Many of these are open to the wash of passing boat/ships which you do not want. There used to be a belting open structure at Newton Ferrers but someone damaged it and it is not going to be rebuilt. Get on to the Harbourmaster, ask him why, and have a moan.
On this topic, last week I was looking for a I day hoist for a quick scrub and repaint. I was told Plymouth Yacht Haven had a cheap deal:
"How much will that be?" I asked on the phone
"Well" the girl said
"£122 for the hoist out....and so it's £122 for the hoist in" "plus the VAT of course"
"of course" I said
"....as you need a full day, we can't leave you in the slings, so chocking...."
"STOP" I said, "Do you have a wall I could use - what will that be?"
is very good: protected from passing wash, v convenient for the excellent bar/restaurant ('Castaway's') and for the chandlery. Hose and pressure washer laid on as well (takes £1 coins).
