Do any of the performance cats have asymmetric dagger boards?
It seems obvious to me that asymmetric boards "tacked" up wind would improve the, often poor, upwind performance.
Any good reason why they wouldn't work? Or not used.
An academic question. I've often wondered about buy a performance cats, but been put off buying, by the practicalities of keep one on the West Coast of Scotland, where there's an almost complete lack of facilities for cats or tri's.

Yes, both large and small cats have asymmetric daggerboards. But you’re living in a past age if you think multis lack upwind performance. Ok maybe a barn door cruising cat, but anything with daggerboards, you’ll need a really serious mono to keep a multi in your horizon these days. Out tri will make 8-9kn at 40 true, in 15 knots of wind, and it’s not dramatically fast by the latest standards.
