Scilly is still closed to visitors

Devil in the detail , no moorings available and they use the word request which seems they have no authority to stop you anchoring off, but responsible behaviour is always the best way.
Don’t try stepping ashore on one of the off islands you may be repulsed by a dad’s army with pitchforks, they’re feeling a bit defensive at this time ;)

We were planning our “big trip” this year and the Isles of Scilly was our top choice, I do hope that you folks can avoid infection and that yotties respect the guidance, and hope to be able to visit once we have the all clear

That notice seems entirely sensible in the light of the current guidelines. If you're taking a yacht to the Scillies, it ain't for lunch and home to the mainland before dark.

I presume that if someone turns up last stop Barbados or the Azores, they'll get a place, but that Covid 40 on a jaunt from Falmouth is, and should be, another matter.

Odd using the American spelling of harbour not once but twice.

How many years are the people of Scilly prepared to live in isolation with nil visits to the mainland and no tourists? There is no vaccine against this virus so at some point the islands we have to be exposed to it and get through it. The difference is that now we have government support, in 12 months when all government support is gone what are the islands going to do? Is there a plan?
