Malahide marina is very good and plenty of space, but unless very shallow draught stick to top half of tide. The bouyage is rather small.
Howth also excellent but does get busy, its a good idea to ring to check if a berth available.
The new marina in Dun Laoghaire is also worth a visit, you should have no problem getting a berth there. Watch for the high speed ship on approach.
There is also a small marina in Arklow which is worth a visit.
Prices at all marinas significantly less that UK charges. All the Dublin marinas are close to the Dart railway stations and its easy to get into Dublin from any of them.
Have a good trip.

Howth is very friendly.

It's only about £1 on the train or the bus to get into town.

It depends how far you intend to stray from the Dublin area. Going North and after Howth which is great, you have Carlingford Lough and then for me the jewel of the Irish sea, Strangford Lough with Portaferry Marina at the entrance.

City Moorings are convenient but surroundings are a bit grim and noisy near main road. Also access hit and miss - coaxing needed to lift the bridge when they say they will. Howth would be my recommendation - run by the club and well organised.

last month did a trip from Pwllheli to Ireland and back. We stayed in Wicklow, Dun Logaire, Dublin city moorings and Malahide.

Malahide bouyage is all proper stuff now on the approach and in the channel. Marina is great and facilities are very good. Fuel pump was out of comission though. If you are a thirsty power boat you may want to check with marina first about fuel update.

Dublin city moorings are great. 300 yards from Temple Bar. No need to rush back to railway for last train. You are right in centre of Dublin so yes it is noisier than a normal marina birth. It didnt keep me awake but that might have been the guinness!!

I'm glad to hear Strangford Lough given a mention. Give me a bell if you're in the area.

Yes, Ireland has some great cruising ground including Waterford and Wexford, Carlingford Lough, Howth, Malihide, and a lovely wee place is Glenarm up the Antrim coast on the North East of Ireland. It has a new marina built and has beautiful scenery and just a stone's throw from Scotland.

Good cruising
