sailing with a crew to spain

Back in the day I did a lot of bluewater crewing. All found on board and travel expenses as a minimum and usually some kind of beer money. Without travel I wouldn't have been able to do it - and I like to think I was a useful hand to have onboard.

On my own boat, it's only friends and family who crew and they are my guests so don't pay for anything (although I do find it hard to buy a beer ashore).

For a longer trip, if I needed the help of strangers then I would also bung 'em a couple of hundred at the end of the trip - subject to them not being total wankers of course - to show my appreciation for their assistance.

The OP has some contenders and is apparently happy with their compatability and performance. You do have to ask what they think of you? This can be very important to their enjoyment of the trip. The arrangement for costs is something you might ask the crew what they think? It is after all negotiable either way. They paying for the trip or you paying for crew. I do think that if you got into a situation approaching equality in costs then the crew might start to think in terms of equality in command. This can be a very bad situation.
It needs to be clear that you are footing the cost, that makes you captain and the crew can take it or leave it. Which also means that you need to be comfortable yourself in the chance of you being left to go alone both cost wise and single handed sailing. This gives every one to freedom to know exactly where they stand.
Contrary to what has been said I think that interpersonal relationships will be the most important thing either making or breaking the trip. But do resolve money before you commit.

Sorry to drift from costs but do make sure they are suitable and you are all 'in tune' as much as possible.

I have never had to take crew but I have had many friends who have. Their stories are alarming. Ranging from merely discovering that someone is a vegetarian two days into the trip to having a complete psychopath on board.I strongly suggest you set aside some time for a 'work up' passage of a few days before you commit.

When cruising with friends, it's usual to share costs of food, fuel and moorings amongst the crew (including skipper/owner). Repairs and replacements fall on the skipper/owner.
If taking on unknown crew, they would normally expect full board and lodging.

I'm sorry but why do people have to post rubbish on other people's threads - is it just to collect post numbers - which is very sad. Much cleverer people have counselled if you don't think something is worth saying DON'T SAY IT.
