well....
as we are still looking forward to actally moving onto our boat whe she lies now in italy (few weeks now) I guess it would be stretching the point to call us livaboards.
however, by any measure of the phrase, outside of a pure interpretation of the amalgamated words I do class myself as a livaboard..... and this livaboard will soon be living aboard.
our plan is to live constantly and move constantly, building experience as we go.
I have no predefined route, neither in a physical sense or indeed in a life sense.
the whole debate interests me, but then everything associated with our new life does ( you should see my saved web site list!) my opinon, for what its worth, is that the predominant feature identifying a person as a livaboard is one who answers the question " are you a livaboard" with a yes..
you, IMO, can and are a livaboard even if you spend lots of time forced away because of fiscal / family / other reasons.
equally you, IMO, are probably not a livaboard in the sense that I wish to adopt as my lifestyle, if you are living in an engineless 'apartment' on an inner city mud bank.. were the boat is just a convenient pad, where your life revolves around other interests.
the question in the raw does interest me though.... it would be good to know how many people are fortunate enough to cruise about permanently (however slowly) I afterall dont want to be lonely lol.....
