Found the same information now: after 90 days I have to apply for a residence permit. Will see about that. Easier to fly under the radar than to face bureaucracy. I have been living in France, Spain and Italy on the boat for almost ten years now and never a problem. Might be different if you want to rent a flat etc.
Yes it is easier to fly under the radar, however these things are tightening up as is getting easier to track people.
A friend (Dutch man) has had his pension stopped and had to return to Holland because he was "out of the country "

When we were asked for our address we pointed to the bay we were anchored in and said “over there”! Bear in mind though that in Greece different offices/officers have a tendency to interpret the same rules differently...........

I think it was 5 years but after Brexit it became irrelevant as it is for EU citizens only, very cheap though at just 50c!
