So you want to experience sailing a Westerly slowly, well watch my Fulmar doing this. Bet most of you would have turned the engine on instead of enjoying the tranquility on the Medway. For about 8 miles, starting at about 3 knots and ending at 1 knot, with the tide underneath me as I made my way up river. The water was glassy smooth without a wind ripple. Not another boat moved on the river. A truly magical day on the water that was so memorable and luckily I captured on video.

I have the same picture in about the same position :)
I haven't got my log handy but it was early June 2012 and about 80 miles West of Finisterre, I was South bound.
Sea like a mirror.

And then it all went downhill and next day I had this for 24 hours.
