WhoaSeveral times when I was out sailing this morning, we hit 2.4 knots.
With your vast experience you appear to have learned very little. You need a Westerly. Regardless of wind speed and direction, they regularly exceed their hull speed. Fasten your seatbelt and prepare to be amazedSeveral times when I was out sailing this morning, we hit 2.4 knots.

Everyone knows that a Snapdragon is very nearly as good.I thought that ultra fast experience only happened in an Anderson 22
Seems to have been very quiet on the A22 front for a good while. The void has been filled by two other boats vying for the accolade of best boat for absolutely any characteristic one cares to mentionI thought that ultra fast experience only happened in an Anderson 22
So Westerly is the new Anderson?Seems to have been very quiet on the A22 front for a good while. The void has been filled by two other boats vying for the accolade of best boat for absolutely any characteristic one cares to mention

NiceSo you want to experience sailing a Westerly slowly, well watch my Fulmar doing this. Bet most of you would have turned the engine on instead of enjoying the tranquility on the Medway. For about 8 miles, starting at about 3 knots and ending at 1 knot, with the tide underneath me as I made my way up river. The water was glassy smooth without a wind ripple. Not another boat moved on the river. A truly magical day on the water that was so memorable and luckily I captured on video.
I have the same picture in about the same position
