At that size, why not road it?

Otherwise as far as St Vicent, no real problem. After that, is taking chances as they arise, can get some big swells on that west coast during the winter. Wouldn't write it off but could also mebbe winter in somewhere like Lagos and move on in spring?

When you get to Royan, come for a meal. We are not far.

Years ago, I prepped a motor-sailer going from Vilamoura to Bremen. They had to go quite far off as the wind was NE anywhere near the west coast, used a lot of diesel too.
