Not mentioned yet, but if French registered, not only is insurance compulsory, bit the driver must have the relevent permit to operate it. Not for UK, but likely to be stopped on return.

Those of a cynical mind may wonder if this is an attempt to determine the risk level of being stopped by the men in black while ferrying something/someone(s) from France to this sceptred isle. Brand new poster, not worried about navigation or practicalities, just whether he will be checked. Should Kraken be informed?
