Thanks SM, the Kruzenstern in particular always impresses..

You would have to learn the names of and use, in a team, all of all the lines on the pinrail. One of at least eight such pinrails plus plenty of fife rails of course. No SHOUTING, no siree, someone might get upset.

The Jarvis brace winches (conceived by a Scot) were sneered at when they were invented around the turn of the century, mainly due to square rigger owners and skippers being so conservative.

And to recap, there is no SHOUTING on board, in case anyone might get offended..
