I posted a thread about knives that proved ‘interesting’ from my point of view.
I just scrapped a liferaft. It had a cork handled, sheathed, and rounded point (but not serrated) blade (scary sharp). Went to recycle tip because sheath was poor and I don’t think anyone would want it.
Made me look at what I carry in my car. The orange hammers for breaking windows and cutting seatbelts I threw out years ago (because did not cut) but I do carry the implement in attached (hopefully) photo.
Cuts paper, so should cut seat belt or webbing on boat. Easy to hold. Anodised. Has silly ‘spanner’ or ‘nut’ holes; perhaps not so silly if one is really up the creek without a paddle or proper spanner.
I do have to own a round sharpener to sharpen such a tool and to sharpen serrated blades (bit like a chainsaw sharpener).
