There was once an ambulance technician of my acquaintance who went to an RTA and started doing CPR on someone, until a colleague pointed out the rest of said someone was a few yards away.

There was some excuse, 'cos it was a dark & dirty night and, even if the lower half had been attached, it would have been at least partly hidden under some bushes. but it took him a long time to live it down.

Ambulance folk have a strange sense of humour...
