How chuffed I was last Wednesday to have Cyggie out of the creek and on her trailer in the front garden! Only yesterday I was in my wetsuit rescuing a boat off the wall.

Now it's lovely and I have to scrape off barnacles!

And the little boat that wound up nearly in the Rec (in more ways that one!) is borrowing my mooring while he finds some better ground tackle.

Tomorrow it's back to my little Comet for a drift round the harbour!

After a lifetime in NW London I can hardly believe I really live here and feel a part of this rich tapestry of life.

...I bet you were Geoff! Stood rather sadly on the bank watching Huff on her mooring behaving as tho she was on the bar, with no chance of getting aboard, and having planned to take a last sail before laying up.. Still there, but work calls in todays sunshine, and bet it will be raining and blowing again when I bring her up to the yard on wednesday.

Oh, and there are plenty more barnacles if you have finished yours.... and welcome aboard the YBW madhouse!

Don't worry - everyone is scared stiff of the "Bar". All I know is that they do Ringwood Best at £1.80

No one would dare try our creek (even if we did have 6ft of water on my mooring last Wednesday. There are even locals who don't know the Hurn Channel.

See you're still bobbing about - did you miss the CSC lift?
