Sadler 25 Rigging Cruising Chute?

Have been looking at improving the rigging of the cruising chute on my Sadler 25, obviously the attachment of the tack line needs to be fwd of the furling genoa, I can use one of the holes in the stem head fitting intended for the drop pin over the roller ( No 3 in image), but I wonder if another option is to move the forestay to the aft hole on the stem head (No 1 in image) and use the hole it is currently fitted in(No 2 in image) for the chute tack line fittings. But this would make the forestay angle even more acute, which on the S25 is fairly acute anyway.
I wonder how have other Sadler 25 sailors fitted the chute tack?

I would use no 3 hole, fit a bow shackle with a snap shackle on the tack, possibly with a short line. Simple solution costing nothing.

Agree number 3 is the obvious best choice as it will allow you to fly it forward of the pulpit. Cant see any benefit in moving the forestay aft

Thanks for your suggestions, much appreciated, just had another thought (flashbulb moment?) I could drill a fourth hole fwd of the current forestay fixing, (2) and aft of the pulpit post, this I think would provide a tidy option, being fwd of the forestay but not fouling the ste head roller.

As a temporary measure I have lead mine via a small block on the anchor keep pin; for the last 25 years.

Thisis what I have been doing, but I want to explore possibilities of making it a more ‘sanitary’ option.

After breaking my 2mm and 3mm cobalt drill bits trying to make the pilot holes I managed to end up with a new 9mm hole in the stem head between the pulpit base and forestay fixing, which now provides a new siting for the cruising chute tack. (see photo)
