Re: tcm

Is that a trick question?

May it be , because it was a lovely summers day in the Med and it well into a marina?

Re: Documents

What information does a Builders Certificate contain, so that I may recognize it.
Do Bills of sales in all countries contain 64/64ths.

Re: Documents

You dont really need to know what they look like. Just ask for faxed copy of original Builders certificate. Original VAT invoice. and bills of sale from builder to 1st owner and subsequent owners to the person you are buying the boat from.

The dealer knows what they are.

There will be one of two outcomes.

1. Faved copies arive on your fax machine

2. It goes quiet for a week or two and you phone repeatedly and eventually they arrive.

Ask if they have two sets of keys for everything on the boat.

If you are unsure about this why not instruct agent to act for you, it may cost a few quid but hell, this is a lot of dosh.

Does the dealer own the boat as a stock boat or is he a broker, or is he acting for owner in some other way?

Re: more on pricing of this boat

Hi Chris, presently sunning myself in SoF so just seen this thread. Actually I got £122k but that included a small p/x which it took me a 2 months to sell on.
For a straight cash deal, I reckon £110k is absolute tops so maybe offer £95k (or Euro equivalent) as boat selling season is over in Med? You're right in that lack of gennie or aircon is not big issue on S37. I never saw one with either

Hi RDL. I ran a '98 S37 for a season a couple of years back. Basically the S37 is a nice boat and Sealine sold loads. KAD44's are definitely right engine choice and should do 37 knots clean. Lack of gennie and aircon not an issue as I didnt see one fitted with either during my search. Things to look out for:
Check outdrives have been recently serviced ot seller should throw this in
Check engines have had valve clearances checked at last service or again seller should have this done
Check you can get on with small shower and loo compartments ( I had to stand with my backside in saloon to take a pee)
Check shower has'nt overflowed onto saloon carpet as this will stain permanently
Check all headlinings properly fixed coz they fall down easily as only fixed with velcro
Check if any warranty available, Should be 6 months if this is Sealine stock boat
See my reply to cj posting on pricing
Good luck
