This is on behalf of a friend who went to his mast in the yard rack to find a section of the rivetted-on track extrusion was missing. The rivets are still in place so he suspects it was knocked off in transit.
The section is about three feet long and, as sod's law applies, its at the top of the mast. The rest of the track is in one length.
There are no marks identifying the mast or track manufacturer, but a similar mast with the same track extrusion is marked S-Spars. The closest Google comes up with is SSS. They have been emailed (no reply) and there is no certainty its the right firm.
Anyone know if S-Spars are still in business and where?
What would the likelyhood be of getting hands on a short length of the same extrusion?
I guess if the extrusion can't be found the alternatives would be to replace the whole length of track or fabricating a new section from solid aluminium.
Thoughts?

Hi I'm the friend Gordon is writing for and I think the mast was made by SS Spars who I now believe to be out of business. Any help with finding a source for my main sail track would be much appreciated.

Try Allspars in Plymouth they've got a big pile of spars. I's also worth looking on ebay because whole masts come up.
