RYA Passage Planning Book: any good?

Hello folks I was wondering if anyone has got or been using this,is it worth buying? (For Coastal Skip doing YM Offshore later this year.) No reviews on Amazon, and I`m nowhere near a chandlers to flick through. Mucho appreciado for any one sentence reviews if you`ve read it, cheers Jerry.

I have glanced through this book at boat shows.

It covers the subject very well, but it is not vital to help you with your courses. A good instructor will provide the same content, and you will do exercises to practise. A good passage planning pro forma and checklist also helps, PM me if you would like me to email my version.

When you do your YM Practical the first thing the examiner will aks for is a plan, some thing like St Peter Port to Solent.
