I was hoping for a lift out at the end of the month, but this will cause a bit of a backlog.......

That'll cause some grief at this time of year!

Presumably its the marina lift that's failed? For your lift out could you come out at the yacht station? (Last year we were lifted out at the marina because the yacht station tractor was poorly so the opposite problem!)

Yes 'tis the Marina lift, may have been taken down the ramp the wrong way round, soaking all the Electronics, at least that's what I heard.....

I hadn't thought of the Yacht Station. The lift out is to have a holding tank fitted, and the Engineer may want the workshop facilities at the Haven, but we'll have to see....

It will cause some grief, the haven side is absolutely rammed with boats to be returned to the water, I think it is the most crowded I've seen it the 6 years or so I've been there.....

Oh gawd, at least I'm only 22'3" but still need the lift. will need to check with the office.
Could be that the new anchor windlass has been a waste of time/effort/money, anyone want to buy a second hand one, hardly used, certainly not been wetted upon!!!!

In Fambridge today and saw the moorings barge in the yard looking remarkably ok considering. The boat hoist had people giving it several coats of looking at, and I guess the boat lifter from the moorings station was in the yard. Booked in the lift I wanted all without any suggestion that there might be a problem so it looks as if they've got it covered. All in all it looks as if FYH are coping well with a couple of problems that could have disrupted things.

Danyal has been working on the barge and the prognosis is that it will live

They have indeed brought the tractor and trailer lift round from the yacht station. Mind you, it's different maneuvering characteristics are posing the occasional challenge but it's getting the job done
