Ah so it was. The plan sounds good Trev. I signed up for a bit of fun and have told myself I won't be taking it too serious , fat chance :)

Abestea is with us as well but doesn't have the YBW prefix.

Bugger, You just passed me BT!

It's a while since I played this but we don't seem to be penalised as much now for course alterations. It didn't take long to get back to 100% after a gybe. Is it just because we are going slow?

and also perhaps that a gybe in an IMOCA60 really doesn't lose much speed since they're quite quick at it... I'd suggest trying a tack... but we'll come to that later I guess..

Correct, Windspeed / boatspeed is paramount.
Try a few more, you'll get the hang of it. :D
