A few mates and myself are going to have a jolly out in the solent on Saturday 26thJune. (staying away from the racers of course). Was wondering if anyone can tell me the best place to moor the boat for easy access to Cowes. I understand that Cowes will be full are there any others near by?
We want to get into cowes that night for a few cheeky shandys. Thanks for the help!

Cowes is packed but could try Up at the folly inn but a bit of a treck to cowes. cxould just raft up in Cowes on the river with everyone else and join in the fun.

Cowes is never full - there is always space for another boat or two somewhere, although you may be rafted 6 deep and need a water taxi to get to shore /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I don't know how many boats visit Cowes on the evening after RTIR - it must be several hundred - but there is always space for them.

If you are not racing yourself then you will have no problem finding a spot if you get into Cowes before the main body of the fleet finish (i.e. by mid afternoon)
