Anyone any experience of 'Allropes', Bristol?
Prices seem too good to be true, i.e. 14mm 3 strand nylon 1.25 per mt.
Also which is best for river mooring (fore/ aft) nylon or polyester? I have always thought nylon but the info from supplier's seem to favour polyester.

I got a similar/better price from Aladdins Cave a month or so ago so it is probably genuine. In fact it was for Marlow Dockline 14mm at £1.00 per m. Best price I've ever seen for that rope. They also had 3 strand polyester at £45 for 50m = 90p per m.
Personally don't think there's a lot of difference between Nylon and Polyester under normal conditions. I seem to have gone mainly for nylon in the past.

I have uesed Allropes once. Good price, good service, good quality.
Personally, I prefer Polyester for mooring lines. Polyester also lasts longer in sunlight.

I've used Allropes several times recently and been very pleased with the service and the ropes. He's very helpful and delivers promptly.
