Does anybody know how to make those nice knotted bow fenders or know of a site that shows how ?
I want one to hide my dodgy carpentry :eek:)

I'd never heard of them until driving home from Boatshow on Monday. In front of me was a 4x4 with an Guild of Knot Tyers cover on the spare tyre

Making knotted fenders is quite easy. But beware it does use up very long lengths of rope, so can turn out to be very expensive unless you are able to get hold of long lengths of used rope. I made a fender for a friend last year and used 30m of rope, for quite a modest sized fender.
The making of the fender is simply row after row of half hitching. PM me if you want more details.
