Ronstan Trackless Ball Slides

Does anyone have any experience with the Ronstan trackless ball slides?

On a previous boat, I installed a Tides Marine sail track system, which I was impressed with. I was about to place an order for the same system for my new boat, but the Ronstan trackless ball slides would be a considerable cost-saving.

I have them, not impressed. The protrusion that runs in the mast groove still has much friction.

Thanks for the head-up, I'll cross that option off my list, so either the Tides Marine track or possibly a Selden track.

Ronstan also do a tracked system but it’s quite different to their ballslide cars. Good luck. T.
