Rodman 44 Muse

I saw it at London and thought it was good. in fact, I reckon it was one of the stars of the show. Nice interior, and 3 really god sized cabins. Following on from the other thread, a Squaddy 43 for the 21st Century /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Just my ever so humble opinion, but this 44 would look a whole lot better if it was stretched another 20 feet! As it is, the pieces do not fit well ....

hello
I always mention new boats, just today I was checking for the pictures for the 85s and the 50 mk.III model which I still have not found
but I mentioned Princces models 3 times since the start of the blog which wich 10 months ago
if you have any pictures for the new models I be glad to put them on as fast as possible as I did with the rest of the builders

I saw her in London and thought she was a very nice looking boat with good accomadation. My only concerns are the lower helm has poor visibility and the IPS control is in an unusable position.

The fly is fantastic as far as seating and sunbathing but she is very exposed, I wouldn't want to be in a choppy sea up their. Again the IPS control is too low and central making it almost impossible to see around you and use the joy stick. Interestingly when I spoke to the Rep he said that its still in the concept stage and a few thjings will be changed including new safety rails on the fly. Hope this helps.

interesting is that the closest compeitor for the Rodman 44 Muse is the new Astondoa AS 42 a bit smaller but she a fabolous layout
I think the Spanish and there Italian designers as both are designed by Italians have really cut the competition over here, all competitive models from other builders offer small bunk third cabin
we will see who will be next in this IPS fly offer

That's interesting as I'm off to Spain next week to visit the Astondoa yard to see the 42, I have heard good things about these boats but never been on one.

have a client friend of mine who owned a 46 and last year he bought the new 52, after a big decision battle with the Azimut 55 Evolution and Aicon 56
he always spoke highly of his 46 and clocked about 400 hours on his Volvo 480s in 4 years

May be we will see more of them now that Dickies are representing them. I'm looking forward to the trip as I've never been boating down the Med way so should be fun and if there as good as your friend says then all the better!

Thanks PY. That looks an utterly brilliant design for a 44 footer to me, on all 3 decks. Perfect flybridge for a 44 footer imho. I didn't like the finish on the 54 (at LIBS 2007) but maybe that's getting better. But the 44 shows brilliant design and layout imho.
