Hello all,

Excuse the blatant plug, but I thought some of you might be interested in a new course - open to the public - that the RNLI's running in the New Year.

Ever wanted to test a lifejacket in stormy conditions? Or find out what it's like to clamber into a liferaft in choppy seas? Or command a lifeboat on a rescue mission? Well now's your chance! Here at the RNLI we're putting on a new Nautical Skills Course with practical workshops on sea survival, demos of flares and fire extinguishers and the chance to take the wheel of a virtual lifeboat in our training similar - plus much more.

The two day course is on 4 and 5 February 2012 at the RNLI College in Poole. Find out more here: http://bit.ly/vWCHSd. Or I can send you a PDF leaflet if you PM me with your email address (your info will not be used for anything else).

If you have any questions, feel free to reply or PM me.

Thanks,

Isla

No, you don't put on survival suits during the course. It's just your usual thermals and foul weather gear plus lifejackets.

Thanks,

Isla
