River Ouse Boat Fire

looks like a Moonraker to me.. 36ft!

I was just about to say I think its a Moonraker, the one that lives up at the Cabin Boatyard is driven by a right knobhead, he a car dealer and has the boat in his advert, they make a right big wake, he drove that thing at full tilt far too far up the river entrance a few weeks ago, not for the first time either.

Yes, the one with Red Trim, its in an advert in The Automobile magazine, or at least was until quite recently, have'nt looked at this months in detail yet.

It is a Moonraker, hopefully it's not formulite Moonraker I believe he's on the Humber.
Ben, there are 2 Moonrakers at Cabin are you referring to the one with the red covers and trim?

There are a few Moonrakers in the area. Must say i dont recognise this one though.

He has it for sale at a very unrealistic price. Reading the advert you'd think it's the greatest Moonraker built and not the early flybridge example it is! Needless to say it's been on the market for a very long time.

I'd say good news it isn't Moonraker of this parish but obviously it's very bad news for someone else.

the boat isn't my over priced boat as you described it...it is jayspeed from goole
old youtube footage here.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P-jnVfR7AuE
one cause maybe the turbo oil feed pipes from the top of the turbo's to the oil pressure gauge.

jayspeed was up for sale/sold not long ago.

my advert for my boat just state's the work that has been carried out and the money spent to bring her up to a very good standard..
I send you a copy of the survey if you wish...

gutted for the owners of jayspeed..

Always sad to see a boat destroyed by fire and so glad no one appears to have been injured.

Particularly drawn to this story as my parents old Moonraker, Azul Criada was last known of on the Ouse, but she had a blue hull courtesy of Fox's at Ipswich.

I think it is still on the Ouse, now owned by a local couple.

I think you will find " the car dealer/ knobhead " as you call him is no longer the owner of " Lucretia Borgia" he has sold it on but its still at cabin. Yes your right about the wash the new owner makes, he passes my boat at the end of A pontoon at Swanwick as tough he's on the plane. I'm sure someone will be having a word very soon.
