Info please-
After an epic tip to see a tired old boat in Ipswich, I've got another couple to possibly view, Sunderland and Dartmouth.
The Dart one has to be removed when sold so I'd be looking for a low cost (yes, it's the Dart..) berth for it until the spring.
Bilge keels so pontoon/trot/mooring/drying all possible. Info of harbour dues too.
TIA

Nick, the Dart Harbour staff are incredibly helpful, so I would start with a call to them. Good yard if you want to lift out at Baltic Wharf in Totnes. No problem going up the river with the tide. We have dried out on their visitors pontoon on a regular basis if that helps whilst waiting for a lift out

+1 for contacting DHNA. They have winter moorings available and they have already asked me if I was craning out and vacating my mooring for the winter (I am, so a swinging mooring at Dittisham is free for another <10m boat). DHNA moorings are relatively cheap compared to marinas but it depends on your requirements for access as walk ashore pontoons may not be available. Personally I think a swinging mooring is kinder to the boat in bad weather as it will not be rubbing against the fenders.
Baltic Wharf is being slowly run down as the owners are trying to turn it into a housing development but at the moment it is still functioning. There are several places on the Dart where a bilge keeler can dry out for a free scrub if required.

Plenty of spare moorings for the rest of the off season on the Dart. Most helpful stuff and you might well get an extension into April.

Be very careful. We bought our current boat on the Dart with the intention of keeping her there until spring, and then moving her up to Holyhead. By the time spring came round her indoors suggested keeping her in Brixham and that was that. Two years later we moved house to Brixham as well.

You were lucky to berth in Brixham -at least you avoided the horrors of Torquay. If I ever moved to Devon then Kingswear has always seemed a lovely location once you understand the tidal situation.
