Has anyone any experience or know where I can get details of the Rival series of yachts?

I am getting to the stage of putting an offer on a 77 Rival 34, ok I realise that some work will be required and rigging, engine etc. will require updating. But I was looking for some advise or comments on any major pitfalls associated with these yachts.
Any comments on their sailing performance, stability, would also be welcome

The intended use is in the med as a liveaboard/cruise.

I am an unashamed Stinkpotter but I can tell you the Rival 34 was produced by Rival Bowman Yachts. Don't know if they are still in business but their number used to be 01703 440853. The boat was designed by Peter Brett, carried 30 gals of water, 20 of fuel, 386 sq ft of sail and cost £39,672 + VAT in 1988. 34' overall, 24'10" waterline, displacement 10,900 lbs..
Hope this helps.

I forget (her) name - but an American woman used a Rival 34 to be the first US gal to single-hand around the world a few year's ago. From the Seattle area. She later said that next time she'd take a man with her.....
