RIB cleaner

Hi all,

I have a cracking little rib but its really discoloured and not sure if it's UV degradation or just grubby. Any ideas what to use to make it look a little better? I've seen numerous cleaners on the market but I'd rather hear what actually works rather than fall for marketing tush. I don't know if it's PVC/Hypalon etc.

The ribshop sell quite a good cleaner.

I used Epiphanes cleaner with a green scotch rite pad. Removed nearly all of the dirt and marks.

Ribshine worked well on the textured floor of our Zodiac (which is known to be a bit of a pig to clean) but it still required a lot of elbow grease.

Just did ours at the weekend. After reading up online what people were using, we used some "Vim" that we managed to get hold of on e-bay (they don't sell it in the UK any more).

Only cost about £6 and brought it up like new. Only had to spray it wet with the hose, sprinkle the vim on, leave for a few minutes, then give it a gentle scrub with a white scotch brite.

Job done!

Could that be because some of the rib branded cleaners are actually TFR, bought in quantity and syphoned into a squirty bottle.? They were always very quick at Eastlands rib place to remove the labels when the chemical was delivered in case anyone saw the delivery note and MSDS.
