However I thought it was amusing how little time they gave to the watertightness of the hull, I would have thought that would have deserved more time than the deck!
In theory the hull will look after itself after a tide or so, as the planks swell. The deck will leak nasty fresh rotty rainwater and so is more important to get watertight. Poor Mr Hurst feeling queasy - maybe it was clever camera work but to me the old barge looked steady as a rock!
made me look at my work in progress in a slightly different light. I am no longer restoring my boat but just doing a bit of piddly-farty tittivation - and its taking far too bloody long!
Does anyone know where the barge was located?
