when we had an Albin Vega I fitted a two piece boarding ladder centrally on the stern, later I added a plywood boxing around the bottom tread, to which I could fit the 3.3 Mercury outboard. With the lower leg of the ladder tied-off pointing horihontally out the back, it would push the boat along at about 2.5 knots in flat water; it got us around the shoals north of Beaumaris and onto a buoy one windless day when the MD6A overheated.As a point of interest, do you carry a small get me home outboard.? I did consider putting a mounting on my transom so the dinghy outboard could do stand in for the diesel inboard.
