I've got a few broken "lift the dot" studs for my sprayhood which I need to replace.

Bit nervous that taking the old ones out might ruin/loosen the thread in the GRP for the new ones - so should they be glued in with a superglue or something?

thanks
Frank

Give it a go and see ? It shouldnt ruin the thread unless they were overtightened in the first place. If it does ruin the thread then a little epoxy/fibreglass filler or similar in the hole, redrill and put in screw.
Ive used a bit of wall plugs in grp to hold a screw 🤫

You’ll need to take at least one out to work out what size thread you need as there are two different versions.
I used sikaflex on mine but filled with epoxy and drilled first as the old had knackered a couple of holes anyway.
