It's a pleasure in this rip-off society to get good service.

I broke my tiller at Easter and asked a local boatyard owner if he wood have an appropriate bit of hard wood to replace it with. He said he would check and I left the old one with him for the dimensions. A couple of hours later I called in again to tell him that I would need it within the next few days because of a planned trip. "Just a minute " he says and produced the new tiller in acacia, machined to the exact dimensions of the old one with the fittings in place (tiller extension and autopilot bead) - all for £27.

I think this was good service.
