My glassfibre masthead aerial blew off! Can I replace it with a 900mm Navtex Pro ss whip aerial?

I think you will find that the Navtex Pro aerial is an active aerial requiring 12v power to the ampilfier within the base.
I also think that the Navtex is on a different frequency range to a VHF aerial - 518khz against 156-163mhz for a VHF.
It may receive, but I would not like to try to transmit with it, in fear of blowing the VHF transmitter unit - reflected power.
