Replacement for Sony portable radio, please

I’ve got a Sony 7600 but it has the same capacitor fault that A LOT of these great Sony short wave radios of the 80s suffer from. There’s a few guys on eBay that do a capacitor replacement service for Sony radios of this era, but sadly the capacitors for my 7600 are no longer available. So if you have an old Sony digital shortwave radio that’s still working, think yourselves lucky.
Used to love the Sony shop in Kobe Japan which I visited frequently when working on cargo ships. Amazing service and no problem with any part. . Now can, t even find capacitors . I expect alternatives are available because there is a demand and certainly can obtain those for other Japanes radios of that era. Maybe the extremely small ones are a problem.

I have one Like the OPs it also ha d the same problem. They can be repaired, an X neighbour worked with electronics. I think if you look hard enough you can download a full wiring diagram of of it, I used to have one at one time. I think it is on an old CD if I can find it I will post a photo.

Thanks for the PM, I'll reply presently.

It will be on its way shortly. I will include the travel case and the optional Sony AN-71 antenna unless you already have this? It does improve short wave reception and although intended for indoor use I've found it useful when swinging round the anchor. I'm just searching for the user manual which I am sure I have somewhere but maybe it was lost.

Positive PM sent to Baltika.
They are great radios and were used by very many ship's crews when they first came out. Hope you get the working one.
Here is a link to someone fixing one however not for the faint hearted though those capacitors will be available . I have many here bought over the ages. You will be surprised what Amazon comes up with if you input the correct details.

Radio now on its way to the new owner.

Not to brag or anything, but in my backpacking days I had a Sony SW100e. Shortwave radios shirley don’t come any saucier than the SW100e?

I have a failed 7600gr and a post online suggested a repair that more or less followed the video. But the poster pointed out there are 27 electrolytic capacitors that will need to be replaced! It was a good radio but is worth changing all those surface mount devices? Sadly I doubt it ... ...
