Used to love the Sony shop in Kobe Japan which I visited frequently when working on cargo ships. Amazing service and no problem with any part. . Now can, t even find capacitors . I expect alternatives are available because there is a demand and certainly can obtain those for other Japanes radios of that era. Maybe the extremely small ones are a problem.I’ve got a Sony 7600 but it has the same capacitor fault that A LOT of these great Sony short wave radios of the 80s suffer from. There’s a few guys on eBay that do a capacitor replacement service for Sony radios of this era, but sadly the capacitors for my 7600 are no longer available. So if you have an old Sony digital shortwave radio that’s still working, think yourselves lucky.
