Replacement drive belts

Thanks guys, plenty to go off there. I don't have the belts at the moment, they're still on the boat, but I have all the numbers so will try local suppliers tomorrow.

You're right Latestarter, polyvee with self tensioning idlers, except for the alternator which appears to be standard vee belt set-up.

From a pure engineering standpoint mixing V belts and Polyvee belts on the same engine is utterly bonkers. One of the factors in the design of self tensioning serpenine belts is that unlike V belts they have a less finite life. I agree that it makes total sense to change Polyvee belt if you are changing V belt however in reality they have totally different service regime so you are throwing away one of the major benifits of the Polyvee design, nuts!

Okay, got the numbers handy now. There are several numbers on the belts, it appears that these are the important ones, the other numbers are in brackets,

Water pump belt - 861564 (7K923LE)
Supercharger belt - 860388 (6K1200LA, 7179)
alternator belt - 977542 (5X9881)

Cheers..........Phil

Water pump belt is the same as the KAD32 Phil, which cross references with a Dayco 7PK925

The alternator belt is the same as the KAD32, which cross references with a Gates 6469MC

Sorry i don't have any cross ref info on supercharger belt.

I got all those belts in me shed:rolleyes:

Some year ago I went to the trouble of cross reference of all Volvo belts and filters, first time I did a service with non genuine belts the customer wanted the real thing, ive never bothered since, though the non gen filters do sell well.
