I've read in the past that dead Sealine hour displays can be repaired using with parts which are available from either CPC or RS Online. I seem to recall someone had made a detailed description of what parts are needed and how to do it, but no matter where I look I can't find any reference to this repair.
Does anyone know either how to do it, or where I can find the previous posts?

( I'm aware that if the displays are placed somewhere dry and warm they may come back to life for a short while but I'm looking for something a little more permanent)

Thanks from me to Vic , both the flybridge ones have dissapeared and one downstairs is winking at me . Dont suppose you know if you can clock up the original hours on the new meters ?

Sorry I cannot help anymore than providing the link.

Skipper_stu I believe has done it and there is some more info I believe, possibly including his experiences, on the Beneteau Owners Association website. You have to be a member to access it I believe and I also think you have to own a Beneteau to become a member :(

I think if you just replace the display you will find that the electronics do know the correct total number of hours run so the new display should be correct.

I have talked one or two people through the idea fitting quite separate hour counters (even though I've not actually done it myself) If you do that you simply power them up until they read the required number of hours.

My note above was about the ordinary hour meter located in the rev counter associated with mechanical cable throttles.
The new hour counter will start from zero.
Hours can be added, if wanted, by connecting to 12 volts for the required time.

Stuff with electrical throttles etc may be different - I dont know.

Brilliant Vic!
Thats what I was looking for.
Thanks.

Out of interest, has anyone carried out this repair apart from the guy that posted the detailed method ( Richard Davis - thanks RD if you are reading this!!)
Hi Bernie,
I believe Peter Haywood AKA PRH has done it, he is a helpful guy, worth a private message ?
BTW he has a F43 too

Just to warn, I tried some cheapo off ebay (HK or China?). It counted for about 2 minutes before packing in !

Right! Here we go!
4 LCD's received today and I've just arrived at the boat and took the 2 lower helm tachometers off. I hope to get the new displays fitted tomorrow and back on the boat tomorrow night.
Here's hoping!

Just about to start fitting these LCD’s and when I look at the instructions it’s not altogether clear which wire goes where!!
I can see from the pictures ( I sound like a 4 year old! )that there is a positive and negative and signal wire connected to the new LCD but what isn’t clear is where do these wires go in the ribbon connecting block?
Any help appreciated.
