Repairing a stitch and glue ply epoxy dinghy

Yup the noodles are good ( and inexpensive to replace ) I used to use them on bare cockpit guard rails for leaning against too
I have what must be pipe insulation wrapped in lorry reinforced ( woven) pvc oilcloth .
Good for bumps, not so good against a wall I would think
The good old wee stern anchor on a weighted line works to keep off the quayside or bumpy beach
Just made me think that using bungee as a stern anchor rode would be good. Not too strong, but enough to pull her off the beach or jetty a bit.

Job done. She's looking better than she did the day of the accident. And it is so, so good to have her back! Went for a little celebratory sail this evening with youngest crew member at the helm.

By the way is that a John Hanna Tahiti ketch behind you……classic world cruiser

Beautiful
Well saved
And you know the guy who built it would do a really decent repair too
Fab pictures
Memories ?

That bottom picture with your son helming is quite literally living the dream! Enjoy making the memories!
Just baby steps just now. He's getting plenty helming practice with me rowing, which is a great way to give him the basic feel of it without any risk. But he's definitely got the bug. We're on Swallows and Amazons no.6 tonight...
