Repair transparent panel on sprayhood

Since I've tied down my sprayhood over the winter to reduce windage on the mooring I've noticed one of the clear panels is torn where it was pressing on a clutch. Is there anything clear I can use to patch it? It could do with replacing really as I'm continually restitching it where it's succumbed to UV but ideally I'd like to postpone that for another season.

I will admit to using a 3m 'clear repair tape', posh sellotape basically. Lasted a season. Then went yellow and cloudy.

A clumsy crewmen put his foot through mine. I repaired it with duct tape and that lasted 2 seasons. Replaced the tape last winter and it's still ok. I don't spend any time looking through my spray hood so transparency is not an issue

Think I've found the answer - something called Scotch Bike Protection/Helicopter tape

I've used a patch of the material used for the window and glued it in place with clear adhesive. Worked well for a few years before the whole 'window' needed replacing.

I used a clear tape called something like 'lens repair tape' bought from ebay.

Lasted well for a couple of years.
Had 'windows' replaced last season for about £100 from Suffolk Sails. Clear and flexible material that folds well.
