I have a diesel tank without a drain, and the only way of inspecting/draining the tank appears to me, to be via the tank level sender hole. The Wema website says that the sender is fitted with a 1 1/4" BSP thread.

Any forumite views on just unscrewing this to give access. Is there an issue with the thread seizing, and/or bending the tank aperture when removing?

Mine unscrews easily, no problems, goes back on too.
